2023

For our 2023 Red Mass, we were fortunate to have our new bishop, Most Rev. Timothy Senior, celebrate the Mass. Most Rev. Ronald Gainer, Bishop Emeritus of the Harrisburg Diocese, served as homilist. Mass was celebrated on September 28, 2023, in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. You can watch it here.

2022

The Society hosted the 2022 Red Mass on October 3, 2022 in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Harrisburg. Most Rev. Ronald Gainer, Bishop of Harrisburg, and Most Rev. Edward Malesic from the Diocese of Cleveland celebrated the Mass for us. Bishop Malesic was our guest homilist. You can watch the Mass here.

2021

The 2021 Red Mass occurred on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bishop Gainer was principal celebrant for the Mass, and Bishop Larry J. Kulick of Greensburg was the homilist. Watch the Mass here.

2020

In 2020, Bishop Gainer celebrated Red Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. Our guest homilist was Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, Va. The Mass was also broadcast on the Diocesan YouTube channel and is available for viewing.

2019

2018

The 2018 Red Mass was held at 5:30 p.m. on October 1, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A reception was held immediately following Mass. The Most Reverend Alfred A. Schlert, Bishop of Allentown was the homilist and stepped in to substitute as the main celebrant when our own Bishop was recovering from surgery.

2017

The 2017 Red Mass was held 5:30 p.m., September 18, 2017, at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bishop Ronald Gainer presided and Bishop Zubik, the Bishop of Pittsburgh, was the homilist.
